The Eve of Destruction You have no clarity won
else by delusion
Lines of powder off some
commode seat infusion
Background noise no coping
madmen playing
Some dance of death and
black and white graying
Social contract broken daily
with the pen of a pretender
Every standard turned on head
until war alone will render
Absolution from responsibility
and death by fire |

A dark prophecy yet a clear telling of why this might all come into being. World events seem to be taking us that way. I enjoyed the read.Your last stanza is astounding.

This poem feels, to me, exactly like the confusion and frustration in our world today. As though only through a calamity such as war will we be able to start with a clean slate. Thank you. I enjoyed very much.

Great word choice; if I'm not mistaken you've managed to write a profound poem about the new healthcare system - it's a powerful piece - infused with truth - I believe the destruction started when the plan was formed -
blessings,
Deni
