PASSING THROUGH – LIFE TRANSITIONS

My changing life is hard to bear, Save for caring friends. And where my path will go from here My energy expends. This road is long and fraught with curves, And laced with daily pain. How can I, then, this pathway trod? Where life seems loss, not gain. Is there no choice? I forward go, step-by-step I plod. My life moves slowly day by day, And hand in hand with God. But if I come to splitted fork, Then which way shall I go? It matters not which fork I take.  For, with care, I take it slow. But in God’s hand, my path lies straight,  His grace will comfort give. With new day’s dawn and strength renewed, I will choose to live. These life transitions, dark and sad, Will soon a memory be. Replaced with love and laughter bright, As Christ’s love speaks to me. And in God’s graceful, protective way, With help of family, friends, This gloom of night will fade away, As, with joy, my journey ends.
