Fear Inside

As I drift off to sleep, a fear I feel inside. I always start to weep and only I know why. The sweats upon my brow. My eyes are tightly closed. My mind is wondering how my heart became disclosed. My throat is feeling dry. My legs begin to quiver. There's no where to hide. My heart is like a river. A river that's always running, as deep as it may go. A man keeps on hunting and figures that he knows. He knows that I'm in pain. If he only really knew. That I am truly plain and feeling really blue. I have a fear inside me. I want peace from above. If he could only see that all I need is love.

Additional Notes:
I tend to fly from thought to thought when I wrote this poem. Please keep in mind when this poem was written I was a teenager who had recently left home and severed bridges as one might say. This was devestating and one who feels so desperate tend to have flights of ideas and thought.
