Points: 20 Base camp submitted by Mark Andrew Hislop on 2010-02-14 00:45:57  Points: 18 At the Self-Defence Class for Ladies submitted by Terry Anctil on 2010-02-25 04:56:35  Points: 16 Torn Pages submitted by Mark Steven Scheffer on 2010-02-23 16:32:56  Points: 14 Life's Sentence submitted by Thomas Edward Wright on 2010-02-11 21:32:30  Points: 12 To Write Like Poe submitted by cheyenne smyth on 2010-02-04 11:32:49  Points: 10 The Gardener submitted by Duane J Jackson on 2010-02-15 12:56:53  Points: 8 Ghost Winds submitted by Lora Silvey on 2010-02-18 15:52:19  Points: 6 The Gloved One submitted by Dellena Rovito on 2010-02-04 14:36:47  Points: 4 Utopia submitted by Mark Steven Scheffer on 2010-02-25 14:32:11  Points: 2 Remember Tomorrow submitted by cheyenne smyth on 2010-02-18 16:52:54  Pests submitted by Duane J Jackson on 2010-02-03 21:36:09 Points scored for contest: 10 points for Base Camp, easily voted the best poem of the month.  9  points for At the Self-Defense Class for Ladies, a close second IMHO.  8  points for Torn Pages, would have normally won until two spoilers hit.  7  points for Life's Sentence although Tenured is one of the most captivating of poems      that has graced the site. I would really like to see TEW work on it just a little. It could      be decidedly a great poem.   6  points for To Write Like Poe I really like this poem and my bias wanted to vote it higher.  5  points for The Gardener Really liked Pests better and my bias wanted to vote it higher.  4  points for Ghost Winds, an elegant poem in the tradition Lora has a talent to execute.  3  points for The Gloved One Always count on Dellena to give us something neat.  2  points for Utopia, an extremely chilling yet interesting poem.  1  point for Remember Tomorrow For quality, Cheyenne maintains an amazingly high      average though quantity.  Â½ a point for Pests This poem is a lark. Now, I think we might consider granting points for more than one poem per person, departing somewhat from tradition. That's up to our official tallier, MAH.  What a month!  Bumpy but we're all here and even kept our bonnets.  I would have voted Rachel's poem high, at least third place had she been nice enough to leave it in the running. Afraid I might be pleased, my dear?

Great choices, I'm still having glitches with voting, but if I follow voting on the 6th one time, everything should go smoothly, and my points will be included. Sorry about that - I hand wrote them down, instead of copy paste. I agree with you To Write Like Poe, was wonderful. Good contest so far, although not feeling competitive, or in the right frame for writing after burying yet another close family member. No resolve with my health issues either, so I just take it one day at a time for writing. Are you "in" the contest, because I could have sworn when I tried to vote one of your poems in it said I couldn't. Who knows, gets confusing. blessings, Deni
