Poeming and Sailing

It is a daring venture   into the winds and wiles of passing Trimming fat off thought like     one would tighten angle to the breeze Faint heart shuns the lean like words     that cut to truth But boat and book ne'er come to strong      except to take the tack.

JCH, Another strong offering to the process of seeking poetic perfection. I love "the lean." A wonderful . . . metonymy? I think that's the word. The overarching metaphor, poeming as sailing, is that type of building upon a tradition of imagery and genius that i spoke of in my other critique of one of yours. It is indeed a voyage we are on. James, Nice, perfect in fact. Out in a sailboat with no sound but the water and the wind. Nature in it's quietness carries the truth into your face. Faint hearts don't see nor care to. Finding fault is a negative not a fix it positive. Fear my dear runs throug the veins. Lest we all be less than we wish we were. But true to course we're pushed along...following our wndward path. And aftermath! I'm having fun with your voyage. Delena
