Dear God

I'm here at grandma's  Writing you this letter Mom always told me I could count on God That's what I'm doing now You see mom went to work  On Tuesday morning First she made be greakfast Walked me to my stop Mom gave me a hug and a kiss I watched her walk away To catch her bus A block away God, mom has not called home since Nor has she returned to feed the cat Now Tigger is pacing back and forth Not sure who will care for her now I'm old enough to watch the news I saw the plane hit mom's tower I saw the building collapse Falling to the ground Is my mom still there God Is she hurting in pain Or did you take her home Where she belongs I know she loved you Almost as much as she loved me She told me so Just the other day I'm scared but you already know this Grandma is trying to be brave I know she cries at night When I go to bed I need a sign God Nothing fancy you know Just a little something To let me know Please tell mom I love her I miss her so very very much Give her a hug for me I'll send her a letter Soon as I'm sure She's safe  In your loving arms I'm sending this airmail Special delivery you know A return envelope is inside For your reply I know you are extra busy I'm not alone here There is a group of us kids Waiting for your reply Mary and John ask about their dad Trish needs to know about her mom Penney and Jack are waiting too As is Phil, Felicia, Corey and Jane God I love you too
