In the Light of my God Hand in hand With my angel by my side We travelled toward the light Brilliant in color Peaceful in sound Joy to the sight Peace at last Release from pain To suffer no more Soft voice enters my thoughts No words need be spoken Welcome home my child Total consuming love Like none ever felt before I'm in the presence of the Lord To be given a choice To return or to stay Does not seem quite fair Knowing in my heart My work was not quite done I choose to return not stay In the blink of an eye The descend to body so swift Feeling of pain returns I know all will be right For the love I experienced Will remain till the day I return To that glorious peace Where there are no boundaries Only joy and endless love In the light of my God |
