From My Heart

If a gift from the heart      is the only true gift one can give, Than it is for you I write this poem-      it is for you that I live! With you I wish to share      my heart and my soul; For these feelings within me      I cannot control. Even though I don't quite understand      just how one falls in love, I do know that your smile      is a glance of heaven high above! So I ask you but one favor-      share your heart with me... And in return I'll give you      my lover eternally! For they say that the eyes      are the mirror of ones heart, And if that is the case-      it is beauty yours impart!
