A Part Now Apart

I've hurt a part of me      in such a terrible way; I've hurt a part that's sweet and kind      and never goes astray. A part so true      so warm and so sharing- A part wanting nothing      but for me to keep on caring... To keep caring for that      which was caring for me For that part which was caring      just happened to be thee. Perhaps I just grew scared      coming too close to what I sought? Perhaps I suddenly realized      there was so much more than I had thought?
