This is one of the only emails that I do not mind receiving. Your newsletter is about the only email that is about something that I am interested in. The email format is great also, with all of the varied subjects. And I haven't told you that I like the way that you have things set up on the site. Enterprising of him to put his time plus money where a mouth is for poets. Makes sense; I approve. Hamme's Poem caught my eye. Excellence warrants support. Hence, I endorse as real, worthwhile. But,have never been as excited about a publication as I am with "The Poetic Link." Due to the realization of the possible potetial audience. (The prizes are fun too!) Comment Date: 8/14/1999 7:11pmGiven the current, relatively restricted state of traditional poetry venues and outlets - too many aspiring poets and far too few opportunities for publication, - I find this site to be a very refreshing oasis; new, emerging and established poets can all display their works for all to see (and even earn a little money!) at a nominal cost with the only judgement being quality of work, and not previous accomplishments or the poets "connectedness." The 'Net is coming to /be/ publishing, and those like The Poetic Link who try /now/ to see what that is will /say/ what that is. It was a fantastic feeling when I picked up my E-Mail & read that I was a winner. I've been writing poetry for about 30 yrs. & to have it appreciated & published for all to see was absolutely terrific. Not to mention the the check you receive as a winner. Comment Date: 6/19/1999 6:11pmI really think this site is cool cuz its friendly and i find the webmaster really apporachable and a friendly person..it felt like a noncommercial place run by simple people who really want to promote poetry and goodwill. i really wish this site luck and it is good to see human values can and are still alive even thru the internet! blessings and love...joy 4. Anything you want to say that you feel would help a new person visiting our site to make an informed decision: I think if you are into poetry for all the right reason, that is, ur heart ... then this is the right place...hope that we can build a family thru this and not just be passer bys. give it a chance...its not just another site really..i mean it.
